mechanical inspections

Experience shows that regular inspections assist in achieving production plans, improving quality and maximising your technical staff's valuable time. Regular inspections help to prevent electrical and mechanical equipment failure form having an impact on equipment availability and your plants overall productivity,

TPG's service contract or prearranged inspection service will improve equipment availability and minimise costs. We offer inspections whilst the equipment is operating. We investigate for abnormal sounds, abnormal vibrations, overheating, abnormal behavior of components, wobbling, abnormal draw of current, power draw during no load and on load, kick current and knocking sound, relative play between matching parts, etc.

Hence, the audit originates from running the equipment on no load and load conditions, giving important clues about the equipment and helping to predict the possible and/ or inevitable.

We also offer inspections by dismantling, This helps in visual inspection of components such as scratches, burns, micro cracks, wear limits, bruises, measuring the fatigue of components, clearance in seating areas, etc.

This also helps in zeroing down to logical conclusions based on the clue the equipment provided at the time of running.

Components are predominantly designed for rugged working conditions, shock loads and abnormal loads. For this reason, it may be advisable that the health checks are done once in six months.

The health audit of the equipment can coincided with your maintenance shutdown for the pumps. The time for routine inspections and service can be used for measuring the components and visual checking of internals.
